My name is Chris, and at the age of 29, I had it all. I was married to the love of my life, owned a comfortable 3-bedroom house in the suburbs, and had a six-figure salary that made me feel like the world was mine for the taking. I achieved all this by keeping my head down, staying focused, and working tirelessly to reach my goals. I felt invincible like nothing could ever go wrong.
But one fateful night, everything changed. I had been banned from all the local casinos a year prior due to my gambling addiction, but that didn't stop me from seeking the thrill of poker. I found myself in an illegal poker tournament in Chinatown, thinking I could again outsmart the odds. I was wrong. That night, I lost more than just a game; I lost my arms in a high stakes bet that left me shattered.
Losing my arms was just the beginning of my downfall. I lost my career, as I could no longer perform my job. My wife, unable to cope with the drastic change in our lives, left me and filed for divorce. I was forced to sell our beautiful home, a place filled with memories that now felt distant and painful.
I spiraled into a deep, solitary, and dark depression. My world had crumbled around me, and I had no arms to pick up the pieces. Only a few people stood by my side during those darkest days, and one of them was my mother. She refused to let me wallow in self-pity and continuously reminded me that I was not alone.
It took me a while, but I eventually began to listen to a tiny voice inside of me that urged me never to give up and to keep trying. As soon as I took responsibility for my actions and stopped blaming others for my problems, my mindset slowly shifted from feeling cursed to blessed.
Life has shown me that it's a rollercoaster filled with ups and downs, and your true self is revealed when you're faced with two simple choices: to give up and perish or to try again until you flourish and succeed. I chose the latter.
My life began to improve. The gambling addiction still haunted me, but I was determined to find a way to channel my passion for risk-taking into something positive. That's when I discovered the stock market. I saw it as the safest casino where I could apply my skills and determination to turn my life around.
I started by researching and learning the top five strategies every day trader should know. I practiced these concepts on a simulator until I mastered three of them. With newfound confidence, I used real money and proved profitable, showing the world that you don't need arms to rake in profit—only patience and determination.
Today, at 35, I've created this blog to track my day trading career and share my knowledge and experiences with the stock market and the trading platforms and tools I use to be a profitable day trader. My mission is to inspire the world and show anyone facing adversity that, like me, they can overcome all odds as long as they remain patient, focused, and determined to achieve their goals.
Life dealt me a challenging hand, but I refuse to fold. Instead, I'm playing my cards to the best of my abilities, proving that anyone, regardless of their circumstances, can persevere and succeed if they have the will to do so.
